Pink Zebra Sprinkles Review!

Share |
So about a week ago I mentioned a product called Pink Zebra. Pink Zebra is a home fragrance line. It has candles and wax beads for your wax melters. A friend of mine was nice enough to send me some samples for review. She sent me two scents, Winter Woods and Sweet Pea/Lily. Continue reading for a full review.

Winter Woods smells great... in the jar of course. Unfortunately, once put into a wax melter the scent fades away drastically. It starts off as a great strength in the jar, but once melted, you can barely notice it. That may prove suitable for people who are extremely sensitive to fragrances. But for the people who want to smell that nice aroma, you may be disappointed. Now I'm not shunning this company as a whole, but this particular scent I am afraid I have to. Another claim Pink Zebra has for their Sprinkles line, is that they last for 36 hours for 1 teaspoon. This is not so true for this scent. I used the 1 teaspoon as suggested and the faint scent only lasted for 10-12 hours, not the 36 the company says. In order to get that scent to last is to double and even triple the suggested amount of Sprinkles.

According to the company, 1 teaspoon lasts 36 hours and is equivalent to one wax cube found in stores. That maybe so, but the scent does not last for 36 hours. It really is a shame, because this scent is something that really tickled my fancy.

Sweet Pea/Lily on the other hand did last longer than Winter Woods. I was sent two samples of this scent and found that this scent lasted for 20-25 hours. Still not the 36 hours the company says, but still longer than Winter Woods. This was also for 1 teaspoon of this product put into my wax melter. The scent is not faint, nor too strong and doesn't seem to fade either when melted. So I can put in a better review for this scent.

As for other scents, I have not tested them so I can cannot give you a review for them. That is just something we will have to take a chance on and try for ourselves. But for the two that I currently have, Winter Woods seems suitable for those who are super sensitive when it comes to fragrances, and Sweet Pea/Lily is suitable for those who want that wham in your face but not over powering scent in their homes.

You can find more info on the Sprinkles line here as well as see all the fragrance they have to offer.

Samples sent for review purposes.

My Pregnancy Update! Nearly 20 Weeks!

Share |
So on December 11th we went in for another OBGYN visit and this time we got to find out what the gender is! We're having a girl! She weighs 10 ounces now and she is developing wonderfully. This Saturday I'll be 20 weeks and she is already active! I think at about 16 weeks I felt the first movement. It felt more like a tickle from the inside. Now I can feel kicks and punches. Hehe!

She LOVES listening to Michael Buble. I swear, she is dancing in there! I would put in Michael Buble to listen to before we found out we're having a girl, and I would get reactions to it. When we found out the gender, it made sense why, pretty much all women I know LOVE Michael Buble, including myself. LOL! So having a baby girl reacting to him made sense.

My husband talks to my tummy all the time and I have started to notice a different kind of reaction to his voice. It's more like a soft tender feeling. Maybe she knows that the voice talking to her is her daddy? Anyway, that's what I would like to think. When the nurse did the ultrasound on the 11th, we got to see her yawn twice! It was the cutest thing ever! You could see her little mouth open then close. Both my husband and I giggled, even the nurse did too. We must have disturbed her beauty sleep. LOL!

Anyways, the name we have picked is Savannah Rose, and I can't even begin to tell you how much I love her already and how much I want to see her. I hope she has a head full of hair like her father and I, so I can play with her hair. I can tell already she is going to be beautiful, I just know it.

Wantable.co Beauty Box Review Part One!

Share |
Hi there! I know it has been a long while since I have posted. My life has been so busy with my books and distributing them and then finding out recently that I am pregnant has taken up a lot of my time. I do want to apologize for that. I never expected for things to turn out like this. Anyways, what I have for you today is a review for a new beauty box that is up and coming. It's not a subscription based beauty box, you don't pay monthly fees or yearly fees, you buy whenever you want. There are makeup boxes and I do believe jewelry boxes as well to choose from. What makes this company different is that everything you get is beauty/fashion related. You don't get food or dish detergents in this box, strictly makeup or jewelry. Lets move onto the pictures I have taken for you.

Wantable.co Beauty Box Contents
From Paula Dorf: Sheer and surreal, this perfect light nude powder eyeshadow will add a celestial shimmer to your eyes. Wear it three ways: as a shadow, a contour or a liner.
This eyeshadow went on silky smooth and felt so velvety on my lids. It is a matte color which I am starting to like nowadays. You can find more makeup from this line at PaulaDorf.com

From MyFace Cosmetics: A sweet warm pink that's "not so innocent" deposits chic shine with modern colors that flatter skin. This lightweight formula glides on creating a delicate, pillowy pout while leaving lips feeling smooth and soft.
Believe me when I say this glided on with ease. It doesn't have that drying feel on the lips. It left my lips feeling moist and flattering. The color is called Suga Mama. You can find this line of makeup at Myfacecosmetics.com

From Kai Fragrance: This intoxicating perfume oil fragrance made with essential oils, this is a light and intoxicating blend of gardenia wrapped in white exotics. This product is paraben, sulfate, phthalate and phosphate free and cruelty free.
Kai will smell entirely different for each person. Kai works with body chemistry I believe, which explains why this perfume might smell different for each person who uses it. So to really explain the scent is kind of hard. So I will leave it up to you to decide if you want and interesting perfume such as Kai. In my opinion I actually like this scent. I've always been a sucker for something that smells fresh and floral to begin with. You can find this product here at Kaifragrance.com

This concludes part one of this beauty box review. I will have the swatches up for the polishes up sometime this week! If you are interested in knowing more about Wantable.co, please visit them at https://www.wantable.co/

Beauty Box sent for review purposes. No compensation was given.

LA Girl - Forbidden Love Creme Lipstick

Share |
LA Girl's Forbidden Love Creme Lipstick is a very pretty mauve color on the lips. In the tube, it's more like a mauve brown, but still a pretty color nonetheless. I was able to snag this on Amazon.com for only a couple of bucks, but because I use some point earning sites to redeem for things, I was able to get this and some other things for FREE! If you want to learn more on how I was able to get this and other things for free, click here

These creme lipsticks are very smooth and soft. They moisturize the lips and add just a tiny shine to them as well. After all, this is NOT a lipgloss. There is not fragrance to this lipstick, like some do, so that is good for those who can't stand lipsticks that have a smell. These lipsticks are very creamy as well. You don't need a alot of product for it to show either. Really, this was only one glide over my lips, and I was able to get such great color impact and pigmentation from this product.

One glide over lips.

Forbidden Love

If you want to know more about LA Girl and their products, head on over to their facebook page. You will see TONS of little tid bits from them. I will be pitting together a makeup look to go along with this lipstick. So be sure to look out for that in the coming weeks!
